Personalised dog jumper with your dog's name
A personalised dog jumper is a jumper for the dog with the dog's own name stitched into it — embroidered with thread, not printed and not ironed on. Here it is not an extra and not a special order: each of the eleven fleece dog hoodies is cut only once the order is in, and the name goes in during the same run. Everything is sewn and embroidered in one workshop in Prague.
This page answers the four questions that come before the order: what actually gets stitched, which size the dog needs, which thread colour stays legible on which colour, and how long it takes. To go straight to the colours: all eleven are here.
What "with the name" means here
The name is typed into the field on the product page and embroidered on the back of the jumper. Stitched rather than printed — the difference only shows after the tenth wash: thread does not crack, peel or fade. A print does all three.
- The embroidery costs nothing extra. The price on the product page is the price with the name.
- Upper and lower case are kept exactly as typed.
- The spelling is not corrected. If it is a household nickname spelled a household way, it stays that way.
- It does not have to be a name. A phone number for the bad day, a word, a date — what is in the field is what is stitched.
The bandanas work the same way, if you want both in one parcel.
The size comes from the chest, not the head
This is where most orders go wrong. A dog cap is chosen by the head and a bandana by the neck — a jumper is chosen by the chest girth, measured at its widest point directly behind the front legs. Back length and neck are the cross-check, not the decision.
Every figure below is a measurement of the dog, not of the garment. The room to move is already in the pattern, so add nothing to your reading.

Eight sizes, chest girth 36 cm to 96 cm, each drafted as its own pattern rather than one shape scaled up and down.
How to measure
- Chest. Tape around the widest point, directly behind the front legs, level and flat — snug, not pulled. This figure decides the size.
- Back. From the withers to the base of the tail, on a standing dog.
- Neck. Low down, where the collar already sits.
- On a long coat, press the fur flat under the tape. You want the dog, not the winter.
Between two sizes, take the larger. The chest figure carries about 1,5 cm of give either way, and a dog a centimetre under the next size up sits more comfortably in it than squeezed into the smaller one. The full table with inches and a breed list is in the size guide.
Dachshunds, whippets, corgis: the long back
A jumper chosen by the chest ends halfway down a long-bodied dog. Four sizes can be cut with extra back length without changing the chest:
- M — +7 cm
- L — +10 cm
- XL — +7 cm
- 2XL — +7 cm
Write before ordering if your dog needs it, with the size and the missing back length.
Which thread stays legible on which colour
A name nobody can read from the far side of the park does nothing. The rule: dark grounds take cream and yellow, light grounds want navy or black. Black on charcoal is legible in the hand and nowhere else. Each product page says which thread suits that colour.
Eleven colours, each with a second colour inside the hood:

One practical note that has nothing to do with the writing: the dark ones — charcoal, forest, brown — come back from a wet field looking roughly as they left. The light ones do not.
How long it takes
Nothing is held in stock. The cloth is cut once the order is in, the name is stitched, then it is checked and boxed — usually within one to three working days. The carrier's own transit time starts after that.

A personalised piece is outside the right of withdrawal because it is made for you alone. Faulty goods, damage in transit and wrong embroidery are expressly not covered by that — there, every right you have stands.
Common questions
Does the embroidery cost extra?
No. The name is in the price, from €29,90 in size S to €49,90 in size 5XL.
Which size if my dog is between two figures?
The larger one. The chest carries about 1,5 cm of give either way, and tight is worse than roomy.
My dog is long in the body — does this work at all?
In sizes M, L, XL and 2XL the back can be extended by 7 to 10 cm without changing the chest. Write before ordering.
Is the spelling corrected?
No. What is in the field is what is stitched, in case the spelling is deliberate.
Does the embroidery survive washing?
Thread does not crack or peel the way a print does. Care instructions come with the piece.
Can I have something other than a name?
Yes. A word, a date, a phone number — the text in the field is what is stitched.
